Chris was recently featured in a “Spotlight” video published by the Small Business Center at Craven Community College in Craven County, North Carolina — where Chris lives. According to the Small Business Center’s website, “The objective of the Small Business Center (SBC) at Craven Community College is to increase the success rate and number of viable small businesses in Craven County.”

Like many small business centers around the country, the Craven County SBC takes a hands-on approach in providing advice and counseling to small business owners. Chris approached the SBC in 2018 for business advice. Since then, he’s built a strong relationship with the SBC and continues to rely on them for advice and expertise.

Chris moved from Massachusetts to North Carolina a few years ago. We launched rand&rand together, but Chris spearheaded the process. He laid the groundwork for our business, and the SBC at Craven County Community College were immensely helpful with business registration and general advice about entrepreneurship.

We’re very proud and honored to be featured in this video, and we are grateful for the SBC for all their help.

Chris Rand talks business with the Small Business Center at Craven Community College.

I had the pleasure of meeting my brother’s business advisor at the SBC, Deborah Kania, when I flew down from Massachusetts to visit for the holidays. She was a pleasure to talk to and very knowledgeable. If you’re a small business owner in the Craven County area, I highly recommend going to see her at the SBC at Carven Community College.

Deborah is also the one who produced and edited this video. She made the process easy and exciting for us, and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. We hope the video helps to attract more entrepreneurs to the SBC so they can help to make Craven County a prosperous place for businesses and families.
